Thanks to Zep (Outpost/Rotundum), I've finally baptized this event. All along I have called it ToT - look at the flyer and you'll see that it's almost impossible to interpret.

The whole event started with a taxi taking us to the harbour and the "Pilen" boats. We were booked on the boat leaving Malmö at 22.00 and were accompanied by the police whilst waiting to get on board. They were there to take a closer look at us, and according to rumours, they'd been there since around 4 pm. Some people were questioned but I think they were basically there to let us know that they have their eyes on us.

In Copenhagen, some Danish friends met us as we stepped off the boat. We decided to walk straight to Pakhus as we were all pretty enthusiastic about the party. No need for us to slow down when all we wanted to do was to get there quickly, in other words.

As we were entering, I found myself close to arguing with the bouncers and the guy behind the entrance-desk (about something I will not go into details about here) but we solved the problem, and I could step inside. Now I was finally ready to PARTY!

Banel was the first one playing (good, but not with that extra something). I walked around, talked a bit, had a drink and when Borelli stepped up to the booth at 1am, I entered the dance floor. This wonderful guy is such a good dj, and his gig was really good. No, let me rephrase that, the gig was super!

He played for three hours, each track outclassing the previous. The crowd was close to ecstatic, and that would probably have been the case if it hadn't been so f**king hot and steamy on the dance floor. This is not unusual when it comes to the parties at Pakhus, but that's a poor consolation and doesn't help at all when you're standing there, looking and feeling as if you've just had a shower with your clothes on. This was how I felt, my top was so wet it was actually dripping! *yikes*

Cosmosis did a very good live gig, and all through it they danced, they shouted, they jumped around and made us all feel like we were on top of the world. Like every live gig, it didn't last very long, but as it turned out, we had no reason to worry. Dj Domino came on after them, and dear oh dear...what a girl!

She was cool, she was hip and the best part - she knew exactly how to please us. The music came pouring out of the loudspeakers (in 3D, which was a new experience to me and had me believing that there was something wrong with them!!!!), heading straight into our sweaty bodies - it was extreme! The finishing touch was added when she played Doof's Mars Needs Women and of course the girls ruined their throats cheering her on at that point. =:)

Amon's gig, the last one that night, was not as slow as I would have wanted it to be. Ok, it was morning tunes but at times I want them to be relaxing. These tunes didn't do anything to chill _me_ down. It was rather on the contrary, I got more worked up! The crowd in general was pleased though.

I liked the lights and the sounds, I especially liked the spotlight that focused on a certain spot in one end of the dance floor. Me and a friend took turns in dancing in it, felt kind of cool.... There was also a fan, and people almost fought to stand in it's direction. The decos left lots to wish for, but it was a long time ago Rotundum cared about that so no surprise regarding that department.

I later heard that the music in the chill out had been really cool, with for example a guy playing the flute and someone humming in the microphone (!). I was in there briefly, and did see that they'd decorated with lots of pillows and candlelights. Someone was also selling clothes in the stand in one corner of the room.

The wardrobe was outside, in the yard, and for those being around 2 meters tall it was great. I'm not very tall, 1,64, and I could not reach up to the desk. Ok, everything worked out eventually (I got some assistance getting my jacket and all).

Prices for the interested: ticket 110 Danish kronor + fee, 150 Dkk in the door (RIDICULOUS!), 50 cl Coca Cola/Sprite/Fanta or Sunkist 15 Dkk, beer ?, earplugs 10 Dkk and wardrobe also 10 Dkk.

I'd go to another party with this line-up anytime.

sunshine & happiness
