In an attempt to support Tibet there were parties all over the globe this Saturday night. One of these parties was held in Vega in Copenhagen, Denmark, and that was the party I attended.

I went to Copenhagen together with two friends, Fredrik and Ingrid, and we had a blast going around to a few warm-up-parties before we ended up in Vega. First we visited Andreas and the guys in MFG at Martin's & Michael's place. Had a quick drink and then continued to Nick's place, where we met up with a few other guys. None of these were going to Vega later on, so sometime around 00.30 me, Fredrik and Ingrid got going.

Not having been in Copenhagen for quite some time, I had a lot of catching up to do. Therefore, I missed a lot of the music that was played in the beginning of the night. However did I hear it from where I stood (in the bar, haha) and it sounded great.

I did join the dancers when M F G came on, and it was a really energizing and happy set. The crowd was loving it and all I could see was smiles and more smiles. A surprisingly small crowd of so called "candyravers" (that's what I call the peeps who come to the parties merely to flaunt themselves and compete in who's more dressed up) and instead, lots of the older party-goers.

I'm not saying that we were freed from the candypeeps though. =:(

After seeing M F G I visited Lille Vega, the smaller part of the venue where 4 guys played ambient and deep beats all night long. Wow, this was beautiful tunes! Not what I would call ambient, but powerful deep beats as promised.

I remember recalling to the music as "morning music in an outdoor party" and by that, you might be able to get a clue on what kind of music it was. Yep, it sure was some cool tunes and sitting down was literally impossible.

I have never been to Vega before and I really liked it a lot - except for all the stairs which left me quite confused more than once during the night. Other than that, there were lots of dark wood covering walls and floors and the general impression was that it was very spacy and had lots of open areas. The floor in Store Vega was a bit too slippy and I'm surprised no one fell during the night.

If I have to pick a set that I liked most then it'll have to be Spiral Kinda's dj-set in the morning. Then again, I always reach my peek in the morning, it's my favorite time of the party. But, it was a great set, picking us all back up and making us dance hard.

I'd support Tibet anytime again but especially if it was to be anything like this.

Kisses ' N ' Hugs To All
