Sorry about the delay of putting this one up, I've been knocked out by a nasty flu and also busy with a few other things than my own site. Anyway, here it is. I met up with my friend Petra at the Central Station here in Malmö and we left Sweden with the boat sailing out 8 pm. When arriving, we took a taxi straight out to Amager Bio as we had a few things to drop off. There we made ourselves comfortable (to say the least!!!) and had a blast checking out what the film crew was up to. Yep, some people were shooting segments for an upcoming Danish film (called Angels, I think) and backstage was packed with people getting bodypainted, putting make-up on and preparing for the shoots. They were doing all the shots whilst the first dj-set of the night took place, Jean Borelli's. It was an experience looking at these people in action, and dancing was out of the question. Not only were there hardly anyone up dancing, but the ones there were all part of the filmteam. =:) Watching the danceshoots was not nearly as interesting as it was watching the firejugglers, the bodypainted (topless...) drumming girls (and guys) and the two very sweet dancers moving around on stage as if they were getting paid for it. =:) I also give myself a pad on the shoulder for helping the girl with the bird-thingie on top of her head, glad you appreciated it! The night went on, more people entered and it looked as if it wouldn't be fully packed. It didn't get fully packed either, but that left us visitors *a lot* of space on the floor. I was in one of these socializing moods and spent most of my time chatting and catching up with friends and peeps I'd arranged to meet up with. Hi Jan! Hi David! Nice to meet ya! Also a big Hi to Saso and Anette. And of course to Sid (whom I am *not* in love with, hehe!), Boris and all of you others I couldn't leave alone. A big Hi goes out to all of you sweet peeps involved in the film, what a blast we had backstage. Thanks for the honey....hehe. Not until Electric Universe got on stage to do his set did I concentrate on the dancing. Beautiful set, perfectly timed for my kind of mood, but I wish it had been *live* and not cd. It was good enough for me to give him a smacker on the cheek and thumbs up afterwards anyway! =:) As for Sid Shanti's set, it wasn't like the one he impressed me with up in Arvika earlier this summer but then again, that would take *a lot*.Apparentlyy Sid wasn't that pleased himself, but hey, it was ok! If I hadn't been in the run-around-mood, I'd gotten into it. Apart from playing X-Dream's monster-hit Psychomachine, Omid didn't impress a lot on me. An ok party with great peeps, ok music and all in all I had a blast. (I always seem to have!) Thanks *gazillions* for luvlee Tanja and Oliver and Petra for a great time on the Sunday, and of course to the crowd at Martin's place! I'd do that again anyday. * Chrissie * |
