My inspiration was low as I left home to go to this party. I didn't have high hopes on Tsuyoshi doing a good set, I had been ill recently, some of my friends backed out last minute and I didn't have a lot of money. Today, I'm glad I went! As we stood in the queue outside, I heard the tunes of Delta's "As A Child I Could Walk On The Ceiling" from inside. This immediately changed my mood to the better! (I still *love* that track!) Inside we were thoroughly searched by the guards. They almost ripped the seams on my backpack, trying to locate something that wasn't supposed to be inside the entrance doors and something that they would never find in it anyway. Amon was playing first, and I say wow! I still believe he did one of the best sets this night, the music was full-on and he should have played when there were more guests, that's for sure! (of course I give him numerous points for the Delta-track, but that was not the only contributing fact making me and others really enjoy his set) I actually missed Sandman's set as I was out in the entrance hall chatting my mouth off. Ok, I heard bits of it but never took the time to fully get into it and enjoy it. Tsuyoshi's 4-hour-set was a pleasant surprise, not half as bad as I'd expected. Of course I never stayed on for the full 4 hours, I spent some time out in the chill out and talking talking talking to friends. Banel finished it all off with a set I found very uneven. Some tracks were awesome, but the following could just as well be awful. Well, not quite "awful" but not to my taste anyway. He's done better before, and I'm sure I'll hear him do better soon again so I'm not bothered. Organix from Tokyo had decorated the place, it was beautiful! Also, Out Of Phase did a brilliant gig in the chill out and I tried desperately to get people up and dancing but no such luck. =:-) All and all, it was a surprisingly good party!
