Sofie turned 19 on March 27th. She celebrated it by throwing a party, in co-operation with Anette, at ex Club Sputnik (nowadays named The Ballroom). And did we have a blast!

Me and Anna came to Copenhagen a quarter to 22 on Friday night. As we had some business to take care of, we didn't get to Sputnik until about an hour later. I think we found the only taxidriver in Copenhagen who doesn't know where Sputnik is located, so we found ourselves stuck in a taxi, searching through maps, for quite a while until we were finally there.

Inside, stressed out ppl ran around to get all the equipment functioning. We walked around, talked to familiar figures (hi Greg!) and friends, and drank some more wine. We also did our fair share of admiring the beautiful backdrops (by NOS and Bird; both Swedish) hanging alongside the walls. I'd already seen the totem figurine standing next to the dj:s (at the Trance Infected party in Malmö last year), shining from candles lit up inside, but it is so cool that it deserves to be displayed again and again.

As the party opened up, some ppl entered the place, the lights went off and Janus started to play. Pretty good, but I was way too comfy sitting down (chatting and socializing) to get up and dance already. Anyway, more and more people came, and it soon got really vibrant, cosy and kicking in there.

By the time David went on, it was a full-on party. I'd managed to get down on the dance floor and did some serious dancing that lasted for hours. David's set was *ace* and it was followed by the one and only Billy - Cosmosis - and a *great* liveset! Keep eyes and ears open and get a copy of his forthcoming cd - I can assure you all that you won't be disappointed! Another thing that never fails to please me totally is how some dj:s/liveacts (like Billy) dances along during their sets - it's so inspiring!

After Billy, another mindblowing set delivered by Mr Frank E. It was a long time ago I saw him perform, and back then I was equally pleased as I was now. Not as happy as Cosmosis' tunes, but definitely just as stompy and kicking, and the crowd sure loved it to bits!

Frank E left the decks in favour of a dj-set nicely delivered by Billy. I took a break and went upstairs to the chai- & fruitbar, where I relaxed in the cosy, candle-lit room for half an hour or so. Returning back downstairs, I just couldn't help myself and I did some more dancing. Man, I was all fired up and basically on top of the world!

David took over after Billy. David's sets are always great, mostly because the tunes he plays are not psytrance but some kind of techno that nonetheless probably should be described as psychedelic techno...if you've read my other reviews you know that I have a hard time describing styles so bear with me on this one. =:)

However did the crowd love it, as did I, and we danced and smiled and got totally caught in the vibrant mood. When David finished off, Llopis stepped up to deliver the last set of the night. He did, just like all the others, great. Some breakbeats, some undefineable sounds/styles yet still rhythmic and he kept the crowd dancing and enjoying this party until shortly after 8am, when the party was nicely wrapped up by a great tune and all of a sudden, it had come to an end.

We all wanted it to go on. We even tried to force Llopis to continue by applauding, but without success. After the party, ppl eventually left the venue, I stayed on and helped out with the cleaning (although I did spend more time looking for money as I did find some laying around) and all I could think of was when to party in Copenhagen next time.

My body got it's fair share of exhaustion as I danced hard most of the night, but hell, it was SO worth it!

Special thanx to organizers, dj:s, Billy, Greg, Johannes (yes, sometime we will synchronize you know what!), the entire Copenhagen party gang and everybody else that in someway contributed to enhance the experience for me!
